Operations Research Analysts - Transportation We have exciting career opportunities across the Volpe Center for recent graduates and mid-level Operations Research Analysts (ORA) interested in conducting analysis of policies, programs, operations and systems to support the development of our clients’ operations, decision-making, and strategic planning as well as in the deployment of advanced technology at the local, regional, and national level. As an ORA, you will formulate, plan, and conduct analyses using a variety of analytical techniques (e.g. surveys, literature reviews; trade-off analysis, economic and/or regulatory impact analysis, etc.), document findings and present results before a variety of audiences. You will also assess the readiness of transportation agencies and technologies for adoption. If you have strong quantitative and qualitative analysis background and excel in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment, then this job is for you! You must have superb problem-solving, communication and presentation skills. Experience or interest in transportation is a plus.
