Drove Alone


U.S. Census 2000 - Drove Alone Share by State

The country's share of commuters driving alone increased by 3.12 percentage points from 73.19% to 76.31% between 1990 and 2000.

The District of Columbia, New York, Hawaii and Alaska remain the four states with the lowest drive alone rates.  Alabama, Michigan, and Ohio have the highest drive alone rates.

Idaho, Delaware, Washington, and Florida moved up in ranking by at least 10 spots.
