NCTR Strategic Plan Approved by RITA

The University Transportation Centers (UTC) Program, Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) approved the Strategic Plan for the National Center for Transit Research (NCTR) that the University of South Florida prepared to guide the operation of our UTC Grant. Approval of the plan lifts the “initial limitation on funding” under NCTR's UTC grant agreement, and NCTR may now use the full amount of funding awarded to date in accordance with the UTC grant terms and Federal regulations. NCTR director Joel Volinski said, "We look forward to working with the USDOT, FDOT, and the public transportation industry by developing solutions to transportation issues through research, information sharing, and training, and by educating the next generation of transportation professionals."
